I felt I received a good value for my money, saving hundreds of old photos and dollars in the process. I recently purchased a VuPoint 21c Film and Slide Digital Converter. This unit is designed to save old photos to JPEG format before they fade away forever. If you have old faded slides, please don't expect photos that look like they were shot yesterday by a hi res digital camera. The copies are only going to be as good as the originals.

If you expect professional results, I would recommend a top of the line unit for several hundred dollars or be selective, sending only the most precious slides to a professional for copying.
